does Baptist hospital allow kids to visit?

I'll be giving birth at the Baptist hospital, and wondering whether they allow young children to visit the maternity wards.

Their website states that it is not recommended for children under 12 years old to visit the hospital, so it seems there's no outright ban but then some hospitals seem to change their policies when it suits them.

unfortunately I can not give you a direct answer, but I know for a fact that due to the HINI children under 12 are not allowed to visit Pamela Youde Hospital at all. Also, they have really stringent rules about the number of visitors and how long they can stay...it was 4-6 for 3 people but only 2 were allowed to go into the ward at the same time. also, the 2 had to be parents and the 3 could be anyone (but the 3rd person delagated could not be changed).

Hope this gives you a better idea of what to expect...

they said the policies were tighted due to the HINI and not wanting patients to be exposed unnecessarily to germs...
