I am new to this forum, I would appreciate some advice and support :-)

We have been TTT for 16months. We had check ups in June 2010.
My DH had really bad sperm results. Mine were okay.
The gaenacologist bluntly said you will need to do IVF.
We were devastated and in shock!

Since then we have been seeing a Chinese Herbalist.
My DH is eating healthier, exercising more, drinking less etc.
I am taking my BBT and using Maybe Baby to try and improve pin pointing my ovulation time.

Can anyone recommend or give me information about fertility accupuncturist in HK?
Has anyone had improvements with natural remedies?

We want to wait 3-4 months, then will get another sperm test. (FIngers crossed results improve). If not then we will see a urologist?
Can anyone recommend a good urologist in HK?

I heard that the Queen Mary has subsidized and private IVF.
Can anyone give me information on price, waiting list etc?

IVF is so expensive, which hospitals/clinics are more affordable, yet still good quality in HK?

We are on an emotional rollercoaster ride. It has been really hard since finding out the news. I find it hard to talk openly with my DH about how I feel, as I know it will just make him feel worse. None of my friends or family are going through this and I feel like no one understands me properly. I know he is going through a tough time too so I try to stay supportive, positive and happy, but it is hard. I love kids and work with them, sometimes I feel so so sad and want to cry all the time. I can't wait to be a mum and to be pregnant! We always thought it would happen naturally after getting married. Now the bad, negative thoughts of 'What if I can never be pregnant?' really upsets and scares me :-(

I would really appreciate anyone's comments, advice and stories.

I hope there is other people that feel like I do and understand me.

Hi - feel free to private message me with any personal questions - we did ICSI - IVF with added bit for poor sperm count at Queen Mary private - need to budget HK70000 pre cycle but hopefully you will get several 'tries' out of that if you can store some embryos. No waiting list just need referral to Prof Ho from your gynae etc. Depending on your age (success dramatically less if >35) then you should see them now as there are some tests etc that need to be sorted first and this can delay things. We were very lucky and Luke is the result of our first cycle. We found the staff helpful and charming.

There's an acupuncturist named Troy Sing that specializes in fertility:

I had seen Gianna at IMI for acupuncture. I started seeing her 2 months after I had a miscarriage and 2 months later I was pregnant again. I saw her in conjunction with seeing my gyn to monitor my cycle even more closely. I have other friends who have had success with her. With one of my friends it also seemed like the husband was more of the problem so I believe he went to see her every week and she gave birth 2 months ago. Worth a try. Sorry, I don't have the exact address but it's on Stanley Street in Central. Tel: 25237121

Urologist is a doctor that specializes in male reproductive system. I heard they might be able to do extra tests to see exactly what the problem is with the sperm. Hopefully there may be ways to improve it.

When they did your dh's sperm analysis you would have found out about morphology, motility, liquification, as well as number and a few other things.
A urologist could prescribe HRT or antibiotics in the case of infection. If it turns out to be a varicoceole and you would like some information on that, I can help you there.

Hi Happy Aussie -- Any fertility specialist should be able to detect a varicocele.
If you don't mind my asking, how old are you?
Hang in there. We're all in the same boat as you! :)
Or at least I am. I'm healthy but my husband had issues. We're still trying.
