My girlfriend is from the Philippines and 33 weeks pregnant. Her visa runs out on June 1st. She wanted to go home for the birth but 2 doctors (government and private GP) have said she should not travel because the baby is in breech. However, for some reason they will not sign a letter to say that. Problem - she needs the letter for Immigration to extend the visa and allow her to have the baby here in HK. Can anyone recommend a cheap G/Ob who can give the final word (fly or stay) in writing. We don't have much money, so no high flying central docs please.....thanks.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I haven't been to this Dr but I know a couple of people who used her, even our Paeditrician. Catherine Cheung is located in Sheung Wan and her prices were reasonable (last time I checked). You may want to call first and ask her nurse what her current consultation prices are.
