Dentist for helpers?

My helper recently asked me about getting her tooth extracted as she says it's loose.

She suggested going back to the Philippines to have the dental work done there but the earliest I can arrange for her to go back is in May.

I'd rather have a dentist here do the work and I'm told there are dentists here for helpers who charge quite reasonably - but I don't know any.

Has anyone had dental work done for their helpers in HK and if so, do you have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!!
 
govt clinics provide free,i think, tooth extraction. but she will have to queue on the right day. oir former helper used it before. nothing fancy but it got the tooth out!

She could try Dr Polly Kwan who (I think) speaks Tagalog. My helper used the dental clinic at Caritas on Caine Rd for an extraction.

Thanks Carang, I also called a couple of clinics and the one in Kennedy town confirmed what you said - that they would extract (for free!) but that's it. When I asked if we could pay to have a false one installed in its place, they were like "no, we only extract, nothing else"!

So the patient leaves with a big hole in its place? Is it ok??

Actually my helper already has about 8 false teeth (done in the Phils, before she started working here) - and now she wants to extract another 7-8 and have false ones put in as she says its "better"??!

I'm just not sure as I always thought its better not to extract if possible! Anyway, I'm now told Philippines has good dental care but I thought it might be better to have a local dentist look at her case and advise on it before she goes and gets them all out!
