Decorating Nursery

Hello, I am looking for a company/contractor who can help us decorate our nursery - mainly painting the whole room and adding patterns etc. I couldn't get in touch with 'CDI' which is mentioned in the directory here. Does anyone know where I can get this type of service? Thanks a bunch.

my hubby and i decorated my playgroup ourselves. we painted it and then made stickers out of contact paper.

if you are interested, i wouldn't mind giving you a hand(depending on what you had in mind) if you pay me for my time and the supplies.

i've attached some photos for you to see. i think it turned out pretty good, if i do say so myself.

i'm having a hard time attaching more photos, so if you're interested, please pm me with your email address and i'll happily send you some more!

Hi Carang,

Where did you get your floorsquares? I've been trying to find something similar (plain colored jigsaw pieces with no cutout alphabets or shapes).

i ended up throwing them all away... they were terrible. they all warped and were impossible to clean properly, which in a playgroup is a MUST.

i ended up getting self-adhesive vinyl tiles from B&Q. they worked out MUCH better. i wish i'd gone for this, more expensive, alternative to start with as i endedup spending so much more because i spent on the soft tiles first, then on the vinyl...

but for a better quality soft floor tile, look at bumps-to-babes or maybe even B&Q or spotlight...i know i've seen them around, i just can't remember where... sorry!

Thank you so much for the photos carang.. your playroom looks delightful! but I think we are looking for more delicate designs (little patterns etc)... perhaps that's wishful thinking, though.

I will think about this further with my husband and will definitely drop you a message if we need your help - of course we'd be happy to pay for your time and efforts. Thanks again carang!

U have small border wallpapers available at Indigo stores at Horizon Plaza. and they have great curtains, beds linens to match with . U can check it out. They have small motifs.

forgot to say that you can order wall decals online and have them shipped to hk.

then you only need to have the room painted. there are thousands of decals available, for a price.

After Carang's advice we opted not to get the tiles either and found that it was less expensive to buy a big rug that covers most of the room! You can get them hop scotch on them (wish I had seen them before we got the one we did). We also did our room, pretty much copying the design of the room from the sticker pack we purchased.

B2B sells room stickers, I also got some from Spotlight. They come off the wall easy and you don't have to be able to paint animals etc yourself! just the coloured background.

The one thing I want to do for next time is find the child-safe paint that you can also stick magnetic's to. Or one that is also a blackboard (maybe that one is better for outside though!). That way it still looks pretty but doubles up for magnets and the like!

Have fun!
