my baby cried since birth until just recently (she's now 19 mths). your son is 11 mths, that's when they started realizing that there are people whom he doesn't know, and it's normal to be afraid of people he's not familiar w/. it's a healthy sign. he;ll grow out of it. don't worry. =)
