Im going back to Australia for Christmas in 4 days to tell my mum the exciting news.
Im still un-sure of where I will have the baby. From some threads I understand that the consultations are around 500HKD. How about giving birth?
Could anyone give me a round-a-bout figure of private OR public costs in hong kong. That way I can make the best decision. I do not have any medical cover in either country.

public costs for my TWO pregnancies (i was hospitalised 13 times over the two for a total stay of over 2 months...)

$5000HKD (including EVERYTHING!)
 
Cost of delivery at Private Hospitals- HK$ 60,000- 100,000 (approx)

Cost of delivery at Public Hospitals- HK$ 40,000- 60,000 (approx)

If you have an HKID (Hong Kong Identity Card) cost of delivery at Public Hospitals is HK$ 1000- 4000 (approx)
