Coping with Allergies in Hong Kong

Hi All,
We are hoping to move to HK in January but my daughter has multiple food allergies and we're not sure if this might stop us. We can manage them in the UK but would really appreciate any help from anyone with similar issues. She is allergic to egg, milk, nuts & soya (she is type 2-4 allergic so not anaphylactic but still has very unpleasant reactions).
Does anybody know if we can easily but Oatly milk in HK as that is a staple part of her diet?
Many thanks to you all for taking the time to read this.
Kind regards,
Pauline

Hi Pauline!

Welcome to HK!

I've seen Oat Milk at my local supermarket. Here's the brand. There's also Rice Milk

Hi Pauline,
I have also seen gluten free and non dairy food from supermarkets like 360. It is not a vast range which I have seen in aus supermarkets but at least you know there is a supply. There are also other specialty shops. I can give you a list which I got from a dietitian if you need.
Hope all goes well!

My husband might be allergic to peanuts and it has been an issue if we go out to eat. Menus very rarely mention if peanuts are in the.food, the staff rarely understand the question (get someone to write it out in chinese for you to show if necessary) and even of they do understand what you're asking they often don't know.

Also iherb.Com delivers to HK, and you should be able to find the majority of what you need here.
