Cooking classes for helper?

Hi all,

Just hired a new helper and she's absolutely great with my baby girl and she does a great job cleaning our apartment.

The only thing is, she can't cook! She's by far worse than I am and that says a lot since I'm pretty bad at it...

Some advice, anyone?

Can she read English? I gave my helpers a lot of my cookbooks and encouraged her to follow the recipes (especially for simple dishes) and her cooking improved quite a bit.

My helper could cook a bit but has really improved with the help of cook books. Anything a little bit more complicated ie lasagne I cooked with her the first couple of times. Now she is a very good cook and even my mum commented on it when she visited.

Sometimes she will just read through a cookbook, or try something, sometimes it works other times it does'nt. When it does'nt I go through the recipe with her the next time.
