Hi parents,
just thought I'd do something fun and hold a contest for us parents online all the time :) Here are the details:

MilkMonster Awww Moments Contest is for Hong Kong only. Tell your favourite MM moment by messaging me by October 8th, 2007. The winner will win a $100HKD Wellcome coupon, valid at all Wellcome locations in Hong Kong.

I remember MM's first laugh, it happened in his sleep. He was peacefully taking a nap and out of nowhere started to giggle. My heart melted, it was so sweet. His first awake laugh happened when I was burping him at 3 o'clock in the morning and I burped. It sent him into a giggle fit. I had to wake up my husband to take a video and good thing we did because after that, he was over my burps, didn't matter how loud they were. His laugh was the best thing I had ever heard. It made me warm and tingly and all I wanted to do was to make him laugh again.

Looking forward to hearing your stories :)

To me the sweetest moments are my children coming over, hugging me and saying 'Ma Ma, wo ai ni' (Mama, I love you).:grouphug:

Also interested in hearing what others' favourite moments are.

Linda

This happened just this Monday night...

At bedtime, we were having our usual 'chat' about what went on in my son's (2.5yo) day and I was asking him about his classmates and who his best friend is. He said that he doesn't know. I rephrased my question as I thought he might not understand the concept of what a best friend is, so I asked, "Who do you like to play with the most?" He immediately said, "Mommy!"

That already had me melting, but then he added, "You're a 'mum in a million, Mommy.'" (This he got from his book of the same title that we'd read to him sometimes.)

I just love our bedtime chats; it's in his cozy room, under the sheets, with the lights off when most of the sweetest (and sometimes most unexpected) things are shared. :)

Cool idea, MM!

My 21 month old son loves 'aminals' and going to the zoo. Got him the Dear Zoo book and that's his favourite. We're trying to get him to understand a few opposites - ie: the elephant is BIG the mouse is SMALL etc. After a few days of reading the book to him - last night while reading my husband asked him Who is TALL like a giraffe? And he said MAMA!! (I am 5 foot nothing and a half!). So my husband said Are you sure? Let's try again. Who is TALL like a giraffe? YES YES, SURE, MAMA!! TALL!!
Just to prove that he was understanding, then he followed it up with BABA (his father) BIG like efelant. My husband's going on a diet starting today!!!

And the winner is...

Thank you everyone for participating in our first contest! It was too hard to pick one out of the submissions we got so we put everyone's name into a hat and did a random selection...and the winner is...Stefanie!!

Here is her MilkMonster Awww Moment:

When MM's dad gets home, MM often says to him 'Daddy I'm so happy you!' What he actually is trying to say is 'Daddy I'm so happy to see you.' Makes my heart melt when he says it and he's old enough to express himself with words. Kind of!

I've ordered the next prize already and will post a new contest soon!
