My 8 month old has been very constipated since starting solids. She will scream every time she needs to do a #2, and often she strains so hard that her little bottom will bleed
I've put her on a pretty high fibre diet, changed from rice cereal to oat, I'm adding oat bran to each solid feed, feeding her LOTS of prunes and pears... and offering more water also - but it has helped minimally.
I've also been massaging her tummy and cycling her legs around, sometimes that helps but most of the time I don't think it does much.
I know probably the next step is to take her to the doc and see if they can offer some suggestions but I thought I'd ask for all your wise advice as well
Are there any other "home remedies" that I haven't tried yet?
