Mama S, these are the results of the selection of nappies I have bought so far.
For reference, Max is relatively big for a new born at 3.8 kg.
Bumsters - size S
Still WAY too big to use
Rumpsters - size S
Very trim and the 'cutest' style that we have. We have had one leak with them, up the back.
I have also had a leak with a disposable too though, so am doing them all up a bit tighter now.
Bubble Bubs - size NB {handmade feece nappy}
Good size and nice fit, these work well.
Bum Genius.
Max fits into these fine on the smallest size, {a smaller baby may need to wait a bit to use them} so they are good value for money, considering they will expand and last until toilet trained.
The only thing I don't like about them is they have a 'plasticy', rather than a 'fabric' cover, but that's just an aesthetics thing really. They are HUGE on, as they are concertined right down to fit new born, so wouldn't fit under a lot of outfits.
As they are a pocket nappy, they are much easier to get dry than the AIOs though. Definitely worth investing in a few to try, and see what you think.
Now I've given it a go, I am going to try some more pocket nappies now, they are not really harder to use than an AIO, you just need to stuff them ahead of time, and I like the quick dry.
Glad I didn't stock up too much on NB sizes as Max is quite big and will be fine in most 'smalls' I'm sure.
