Coming off the Pill

Hi
I've read lots of conflicting reports about coming off the pill:
Some say if you starting trying to conceive straight away you may have a higher chance
Some say wait at least a month
Some say wait at least 3 months
.... has anyone got an opinion or been given some similar advice?
Thanks Doodle

Hi doodle -
I was on the pill for 9 years and was told by my GP that it could take up to 6 months to conceive after I get off of it. She just didn't want me to get frustrated if I couldn't get pregnant right away. But I got pregnant a month later. My OB/Gyn said it didn't matter and everyone's body worked differently.

infact a lot of people i know have gotten pregnant right away after stopping the pill!!!!
for my first pregnancy, i quit the pill and was told to wait 3 months before trying and i did that, so got pregnant around 4 months off the pill.....for my second pregnancy i decided not to wait and got pregnant 2 months after quitting the pill. This pregnancy ended in a miscarriage(reasons not related to the pill).

After quitting the pill both times my cycles were quite long and around the second or third month they regulated making ttc a little easier.

Hi
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I think I'll give it a couple of months then start trying. I've been on for 15 years - so I guess it may take some time .....
