I hope everyone is in good health and doing great!
It was brought up previously the idea of having a combined Baby shower ?Kris Cringle? (exchange gift) style for our Due date club. For those who are not familiar with ?Kris Cringle?, all you need to do is bring a present on the night and we?ll swap gifts by drawing a number from a bag. All participants who brought a present will come home with a present from another person. We will determine later on what the minimum value of the present should be.
To start organising the event, we need to select a date and estimate the number of attendees. Can you please reply if you are able to join and which date you prefer ? June 17 or 24 (both are Thursdays).
I believe Frenchy and Quasimother are looking into possible venues already. We will do the event at night time combined with dinner so all working mothers are able to join too. More details will follow later on once we know how many are attending and the best date to have the event.
I know that it will be a lovely experience to have a baby shower (especially for a first time Mum) even if we are away from family and close friends. I hope you could join us!
