Hello! Does anyone know where I can get a light Combi stroller with reasonable price? I've looked at Wing On/Ocean Terminal, all of them are quite expensive, average HK$2000. Do you know if I can get it cheaper in China (Guangzhou)?

We bought a light weight Combi from GZ a couple of years ago. It was around $300. Another popular brand there is Geoby.

I just bought one medium size Combi stroller in GZ, special price: RMB 888, and they also got light weight Combi, it 's around RMB500-600, you may go to 北京路-廣卅百貨 or 新大新.
 
Hi, I saw last weekend jusco is selling a basic combi stroller for HKD1170. not sure if it is within your budget. The stroller is one i have used before - very lightweight (3kg or so), with hood except you can bring the seat right down for baby to nap - ie it is only for 6 months or older babies. i know jusco is having a baby fair last weekend not sure if it is still going on.

otherwise why don't you check out geoexpat and other expat websites to see if you can buy it second hand. much cheaper and often times the goods is still in excellent condition.

Rani and Sliverbee, how do you make sure the stroller from GZ is the real Combi but NOT pirated goods?? Do they have 1 year guarantee? Can you repair in HK when you need?? We also bought a Combi from Jusco in HK during discount period. A little bit more than $1000 as we are not quite confident of buying stuff from China. Dont want to risk our baby and there is no big price difference anyways.
 
The one I got was definitely the real thing. It was from ParkNShop and had the right labels/instruction manual, and even a warranty. I actually broke the guardrail after a few months, and the HK Combi service dept sent me a replacement in a couple of days for free.
 
My husband and I lived in Shanghai for 3 years and travelled to different cities of China. Our companies just transferred us back to HK. Even in SH, there is only ONE ParkNshop which is very poorly managed. It's only a small supermarket sell food and glocery. NO baby items or furniture at all. Which ParkNshop and where did you buy the Combi?? Like other electrical appliances we bought from international compaies, not all of them have international warranty. If the shop you bought from is really that good, I will ask my friends who now still based in China to go there instead of coming back to HK to buy the stroller. All of us are quite cautious about anything we buy in CHina now, not only for food which always have poison material.
 
Actually, I got the Combi stroller for my relative who is residence in GZ, the Stroller I got is from the sole agent in big department store on Beijing Road, GZ city and warranty card & invoice is attached (but only can de repaired in China). I personally feel the Combi in GZ is not cheap and quality is not as good as Hong Kong. It is just for the sake of convenience. Thus, I agree with Cyberyoda's view.
 
I've been living in GZ & Shanghai for couple years, and still travelling a lot, they do have mega market like Carrefour, Walmart..., selling almost everything you name it, and there are also a lot of baby brand name counters (selling baby clothes, milk bottles...) in the big department stores in GZ & SHG.
 
Yes, the big department store like Walmart in China do carry baby products but not many choices of foriegn brand. For those local brand, not sure if it's fulfill safety standard. That's why a lot of my friends do come back to HK to buy baby stuff. Better to be safe for our babies :)

After 5 years, surprisingly our Combi is pretty much intact. Other then snapping the guardrail, we didn't have any other problems with it. The quality seems to be the same.
 
WOW. I just got mine for about 3400 dollars at bebe dream in ocean terminal! why was mine so expensive compared to everyone else's?
 
Yours is probably really made in Japan? I thought mine was (bought in Jusco for 1100) as it has Japanese writing all over but lo and behold, at bottom of stroller there is this tiny little bit of tape that said Made in China. haha, thought it would be the real japan-make since I got it from a japan store but guess not...(the saleslady was smart to evade my question when i asked)
 
Combi Baby Stroller

While searching for spare parts for my Combi stroller I came across this Forum.

Living in Shenzhen and frequently visiting Hong Kong I have not found major price differences for the Combi strollers. With the new bridge from across Shenzehn Bay (Shekou to Tuen Mun - and beyond) the crossing is cheap (22RMB return trip) so any savings of over 25 RMB make the trip worthwhile. I found the price difference between stores more pronounced than between SHenzhen and Hong Kong. And of course the various Combi model differ greatly in price.

If you are interested I'll take a note of the prices in my nearby store, today they quoted me a price of 880 RMB for my model - they cant get the part I want (a new carry basket underneath). Let me know.

And if anyone knows where I can get spare parts for my Combi - please let me know -it would be really helpful
