Club recommendations

I wondered if anyone can provide any recommendations/thoughts on the following clubs:

The American Club
Aberdeen Marina Club
Dynasty Club
Kowloon Pacific Club

I agree-- By far. The AMC is the best for children. The playroom is ginormous and there's tons of children's activities.
 
Yes we do have children, so you're right, that is the main thing we are considering... if the kids are happy then we will be too!

it depends where you will be living. if you're in the Stanley/ Tai Tam area, the American Club will be more convenient, also has a number of activities for kids. the gym is amazing.
 
Agree that the American Club is great for kids, but if you are not going to be living on HK island, the commute there will be pretty long and inconvenient - something to consider.
 
I agree that the American Club has a fair amount of children's activities but they are smaller. I find that the AMC offers more for children and the play room is much bigger and has more activities. Note also that the American Club has stricter rules on bringing domestic helpers around. The AMC permits them virtually anywhere and at all times.
 
Agree. We almost never use The American Club at Tai Tam (facilities at AMC are much better), though the American Club at Exchange Square is convenient for drinks etc after work. When it comes to facilities and activities for children, AMC is really the best. The club is also run by Shangri-La so service is excellent. I will suggest you visit both to make a fair comparison :)

One thing you may wish to consider is where your friends hang out, cos it might be easier to get together or arrange play dates if you belong to the same club. Almost everyone I know who has kids end up using AMC more than the others so we bump into friends all the time :) Its a very casual and friendly environment there ....
 
Isn't it really hard to get into these clubs though? I am under the impression that unless one is corporate sponsored, or have millions to spare, one almost does not stand a chance ....
