Christmas tree?

wanchai street market usually has them, too... if you ever make a trip to SZ, there is a place that does all of the xmas decorations cheap as chips! they also do huge amount of "yard" decorations and trees, too
 
Didn't like what I saw at Toys-r-us. Anybody know about a shop near the flower market that supposedly has fake trees?
 
i've asked hubby to write down the name in chinese to give to the taxi driver.

just got back from SZ and boy oh boy was it cheap!

for $1200 HKD (975 RMB):
1) 7' tall, fake xmas tree
2) 7' or 8' inflatable (constant air flow) santa claus~ including the air pump
3) 60 xmas ball decorations for the tree
4) small sleigh with santa & 2 reindeer
5) 30 foam snowflakes
6) 60 strands of sparkly garland/tinsel ($1 each!)
7) 24 small snowmen to decorate the tree
8) 10m of white felting (for snow)

i paid 145RMB for the tree! most of the places i asked wanted around 320RMB for a 7' tree, but then in the 3 building of decorations etc, i found this one place that was so much cheaper than the others. most of the others wanted 3RMB per strand of sparkly garland, this place wanted 1RMB!

I live in SZ and would love to know where you found these deals! I found Walmart a bit expensive. I got Halloween decroations at the Dragon Store(not actually called this in Chinese) in Lohu, for great prices, I wonder if it's the same place you found all your stuff?
 
Hi again - it was the stationery mall that i went to, did you buy your stuff in the very front "shop" in the first bldg? Thanks for the info!
 
there are 3 or 4 buildings of xmas decorations. i just went to every place with trees (there were a lot) and asked for prices. there was one in the farthest left building that only had 4 or 5 trees out front. that is who i bought from.

i only negotiated a very slight discount on the tree... after that, i stopped and just bought at the price they were asking. i was happy to pay it. and the husband and wife that ran the place were REALLY nice. they got their staff to help us organise delivery to hk and they helped carry our 4 big boxes of stuff to the delivery area.
