christmas baking exchange?

i've just returned from the bake exchange...what a great afternoon of chat i had and what a great evening of eating i will have. the treats look amazing and the fun ladies were even more fantastic in person.

a HUGE thank you to cara for taking the initiative and organising the exchange....logistically and time wise it was VERY TOUGH and you pulled it off with grace and good humour. many many thanks, can't wait until next year.

Oh, i'm home now and just tasted all the goodies. All taste good, really yummy, but my son's favorite is ----- bloomingdaleinhk's snickerdoodles. (hope i didn't offend anyone)

By the way, my "candy" is better if you put in refrigerator so it will be hard.

Ive been following this post with jelousy lol as it was such a fab idea but being in a serviced apartment until next weekend i have nothing to bake with so had to pass on it.. Don't leave it until xmas for the next one!! Would love to take part when u decided to do round two lol...

Hi Ladies,

Apologies again for holding everyone up -- and I didn't even get to bring in the second batch!! I promise I'll do MUCH better next time around! In fact, if anyone doesn't mind coming to Yuen Long I'm happy to host a baking exchange party at some point after christmas at my place.

The treats are DELICIOUS. Everything is scrumptious but I have to give a special mention to the snickerdoodles (melt in your mouth) and Cara's gorgeous sugar cookies. I think I'll be making both next week for my son's second birthday.

I'll email cara my recipe for caramel shortbread if anyone is interested too :)

yeah, our treats are all gone too... that's why i was hoping for a dozen per....they were all TOOOOOOOO yummy!
 
dimsum mum, may i also have your recipe... i ate ALL the ginger cookies... didn't even consider sharing them with anyone else in the house!
