Choosing a Kindergarten

on page 2 someone mentioned montessorri (bad sp?) on caine road, my baby sister went there quite a while ago (like 10 years ago now??).. but i do n she still does remember clearly that there wasn't a day that she wasn't looking forward to skl... they have a caring and happy environment and it was quite fun & interesting in general, u'd be glad to know that they provide a quite protective/ safe (don't all skls?) environment, i.e. there's this great big gate outside so no cars are near the building... unless authorized, i also rmb the teachers' surnames were quite amusing like coffee (diff sp) or something.. but ya maybe it was just a nickname!

for those who are considering enrolling their child into sunnyside, it's unfortunate that they just announced they will be closing down at the end of june :( it's very sad as i was expecting my younger son to attend their for 2 more years before going to primary school! now i have him enrolled in the ymca kindy in tst (but at twice the fees....)

they don't have enough enrollment for next term! when my elder son started playgroup there 2 yrs ago, there was around 40 children in the class. now, my younger son is in the playgroup class (2-3yrs class), but there is only 16 children there. i heard that they only received 12 applications for the coming sept but that doesn't mean that the 12 kids will come in sept!

it really is sad because although the school is not new and big and fancy, all the kids there enjoy themselves tremendously. and all the teachers are really nice and are great teachers too! i really don't see the need for paying more fees for other extra services that other schools have to offer!
