Like most prediction methods it has two chances of being correct - 100% and 0% - or, as each method's promoter might prefer - 'absolutely correct (see, I told you)' and 'close'.

It says we are going to have a girl! I have been convinced, since I found out that I was pregnant that we are having a girl; my husband thinks a boy; it is still too early for us to find our our baby's sex, but we shall wait and see.
All we want is a healthy babyy, regardless of gender!

Any chance 48m and 43f get pregnant?

We've been married for 1 year plus some months now, no sign getting pregnant. She had late dark red periods, wonder if they're concieved eggs of some sort, I'm worried. Anybody had same experience???

I got two boys...both by this "virtue":-
First, make sure your husband hits the gym as much as he can, coz he should get as fit as possible. Second, eat lots of meat as opposed to salad (especially your husband), Third, hold on to his soldiers til the day you are most fertile. Fourth, you and your husband (and especially your husband) must not be stressful or travel too much due to work or whatever, as stressed out husband somehow have bigger chance in getting girls.

There are also this interesting website:-

And an interesting gadget:-

Hope these help!

Just checked the chart, and it doesn't work for me !

:burnout:

We had no preferences for the first baby, but now that we have a girl, it is nice if we could have a boy for baby 2.

But I'll do nothing to "help" nature, because I just know that what is the most important for me, is that she/he is healthy ;-)

Hello all,

this the is the first time I've posted on these forums.

I am 26 weeks prego and don't know the sex of our baby. Have just had a look at the Chinese Birth Chart and it predicts a girl for us. Someone also mentioned lemon tea on an earlier post, I am drinking loads of it! So maybe it is a girl.

Either way we are happy, we just want a happy, healthy baby.

Maybe i'm taking this wrong, but it seems to me that some people are giving the impression that they'll be disappointed at the thought of having a girl.
Sad really...

We're all girls here...& IMHO Girls are pretty damn fantastic!

Afterall, we're the ones bringing life into this world....now how amazing is that?!

I believe we get exactly what we're intended to have...whether it's a beautiful boy or girl...and no chart can predict that.

Just my thoughts

Father or Mother

Hi All

The Chart is very interesting. However, I am puzzled with how it works. Since it is the father who determines the Sex of the BB.

Therefore, is the chart to look up the father's age, and the due date of the BB ... since technically it has nothing to do with the mother in determining whether it is boy or girl.

Maybe someone would like to relook up the chart, and see if the accuracy is closer to 99% as it claims.... or how does it all work? Can anyone enlighten me please.

Cheers
MM

You are right.
Its just another of those mystical oriental mysteries! haha
My hubbie is the same age as me. so for us looking up the male age and date of conception works out the same for us.
I'd be interested to see if it is as accurate or more so if it goes by the mans age too

Well, I was convinced I was going to have a girl, even said so according to the chart, but we are having a boy. The chart was wrong for me. It's my first and will be over the moon with a happy, healthy little baby either way! There's always another chance to try for a little girl (we'll see how I get through this one first!) ;)

gzmama I agree with you, that as long as its a healthy baby....whether it is a boy or a girl shouldn't matter.

Though out of curiosity did you try putting the father's age and due date to practise, and see if the results is a boy.

Chinese Birthing Charts and other gender choosing methods

:baby: Sperms have different speed and life expectancy. Sperms carrying the male chromosome travel fast (towards the egg) but die off quickly, sometimes even on the way to it, i.e. they may never reach the egg.
However, for the female chromosomes it is the other way round, they are slow but "sturdy".
Therefore, it is logical that you must have intercourse directly on the day of ovulation or just after to conceive a boy. For a girl, about 48-24 hours before ovulation will be correct usually.
The correct time of ovulation can be most accurately tested by looking at the hormonal changes during your cycle. The easiest and most accurate way is by looking at your saliva under a microscope first thing every day on waking up. There are several such devices available, in handy 'lipstick size', and very easy to use.
In some, more rare cases, men will only carry one kind of chromosome, i.e. only one gender will be possible. Or sperms are too slow, i.e. will result in girls (can be genetic, due to stress, frequent flying or even diet). These can all easily be tested by sperm test.
Remember that it is the sperms of three months ago that are responsible for actual conception!
Hope this sheds some light on the many myths out there. Good luck!

I went to the Dr last month for my annual check-up and he said that as a woman gets older, the chances of having a girl are higher as the fertiized egg of a girl implants easier than a boy. Anyone heard this before?

For my DD, the chart is right on. For this one, it says boy but after the ultrasound says girl. So for me, it's 50/50!

The birth chart has had a 100% success rate amongst all friends and relatives I have surveyed, until now!
My brother will be having a girl, not the boy predicted by the chart.
But after years of trying we all couldn't be happier!

I'm going to have a girl - just like the chart 'predicted' - LOL! But if it was accurate in every case, we wouldn't need all those fancy check-ups.
