Children's wallpaper

If you go to Shanghai St in Mongkok, there are lot of stores that sell home renovation materials. You will find some stores that sell wallpapers. You should ba able to find some suitable for your baby room. You can also go to Wanchai (I think at Lockhart Rd).

Rather than wallpaper - which I've always found too committing, you can get these colorful plastic stickers that you can affix to walls, window shades, windows, etc. You can get them not only in neighborhood toy shops or stationary stores, but also from street cart vendors - I get my in the Wanchai market. They stick, but are easy to take off, so that you can change them whenever you, or your child, wants!

Hi Yonge. Yes, its a very good idea! I actually ended up getting wall stickers instead of wallpaper - better I think. I didn't know you could get them in Hong Kong though so I ordered some online. Found this website - The Wow Wall which I thought was fabulous. I had seen some wall stickers in a picture of someone's house on a property website, sent them the photo saying I wanted similar and they designed some for me. I also fell in love with the wall murals but I'll save that for next time. The only thing is they don't ship overseas so I had to have them sent to my parents who will send them out to me. A friend of mine found a similar website that does ship overseas, though not sure what that one is called.

I bought cute stickers from Melaine just off HOllywood Rd, opp Pizza Express underneath the overpass. Or you can also try Kids by Red Cabinet - they have really cute ones too.

For the record, I take back my recommendation for wow wall. The stickers arrived, and they looked great, but they were impossible to put up on the walls successfully. Very difficult to apply and any small mistake stripped off all the paint. We have given up. Moreover, on writing to my contact at the company (who had previously been very responsive on email) for help / instructions on applying the stickers, I received no reply to several emails. On researching how to apply wall stickers I came across various other companies that construct the stickers in a much more user friendly manner. Will try one of those in future.

I bought the Korean made ones from Jusco and loooove them! They look like someone painted them onto the wall.
