ChildCare Course for your Helper.

As some of you may remember my husband and i attended a First Aid & CPR course with Asia Medical Services Ltd. We said we would put our helper on the course. Since then they have now combined the first Aid for helpers with a Childcare course. For those who are not on their mailing list of courses dates, its held over two Saturday afternoons. Our helper Connie, had only looked after children with her last employer and not babies. So we decided just for a bit more piece of mind we would send her on the course. The course talked about safety, hygiene, bathing, caring for a sick baby,feeding, stimulation and play. It also covered important first aid which included choking and CPR. Connie our helper came back from the course feeling much more confident which made us feel happier. We also recieved an evaluation of Connie's skills from the two instructors.

Both my husband and i would strongly recommend this for those of you who work full time and leave the baby or children with the helper.

We used Yvonne for baby basics before our baby was born, health visits once we were home and then for helper assessment. Yvonne was a godsend throughout trying times and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for home vists or help either assessing or training their helpers.

thanks! I really like her too as she is the health visitor at our doctor's - just wondered what the course iis like for training helpers. Better get in touch with her soon.
Rani, I wondered if it would be possible if we could get the schedule for the Matilda groups - there is a toddler and mum group on a thursday with different talks posted on the website. I have been to a few of these and really enjoyed them but would have benefitted from knowing what the talk would be each week.

I have just realised what a garbled message I have just sent. Ignore second paragraph - What I meant to say was I wonder if it would be possible to get a monthly schedule for the talks that are given at the Matilda toddler and mum group on a thursday? It would be great if these could be posted somewhere on the geobaby site / if there was a link to a list just with the titles of the talks. Ooops, my brain is obviously scrambled!

We usually post the Matilda MommyToddler Group topics on the GeoBaby calendar. Sorry we didn't have any posted this month, will check with them and see if they've confirmed the upcoming topics.
