chemical pregnancy

yesterday, I went for my 2nd appointment with a O&G, it should be 5 week & 4day already..
but.. he cant find the foetus! and concluded that.. it's a chemical pregnancy (with HCG positive) or.. bad side.. ectopic one.
I was SO disappointed!:bawling:
I search fr the web, it happens near the expected period date. but for me.. me 10 days fr that!!
As advised by a friend (GP), I am going to see another O&G today.
 
I too experienced what they call "chemical pregnancy" and i share your frustration. It can be very disappointing indeed. And I learned all there is to know about HcG at that time.

Good news is, try again. I had the chemical pregnancy in August and by October I was pregnant (for real this time)
 
I am very sorry to hear that, kerkermui. My friend had a chemical pregnancy in Feb this year and she was pregnant again in April. Now she is 4 months pregnant and healthy.

Take it easy, try again.

the 2nd O&G advised me to do the HCG test twice, initial and after 48 hrs.
to see any change within 48hrs.
I dont know, by the time I get the report.. that will be another 1 week.
Drs just told me to wait.. I really hate this!
I am waiting for a miscarriage! or he will do something after he get the report..
dunno..
anyway, I feel better already. at least I see the tiny little foetal sac (too small, the dr said) and I'm not having an ectopic one.

I went to doc during my 7weeks pregnant and doc couldn't detect any heartbeat, I went two weeks later, and the heart was there.
