The reason is quite simple. We moved here from Canada, and will not be possible to move back in the short term. However, I hope my child could go back to Canada after high school. CDNIS provides Canadian educational program, which would suit my child the best.

Getting a debenture and being Canadian all but guarantees that your child will get into Cdnis. Last I heard the going rate was about 800,000 hkd

This may/may not be the case any longer as when I went with my daughter for her reception assessment last month, the head of admissions said Canadian citizenship and debentures were "soft sell". The most important thing they were looking for is the quality of the candidate, then sibling priority. HOWEVER, if you read the latest thread on CDNIS, there seems to be a discrepancy as to whether or not debenture holders/canadian citizens are getting their offer letters even before the school conclude their interviews. Hmmm.
