Cantonese Playgroup in Mid-levels

Well I work from home so I'm only half a SAHM! However I would find it very difficult to not see them for a full working day if I had to go to an office or something.... I was saying to my friend, when I spend the whole day with them I feel really "fried" and feel I need some personal time, so then the next day because my Mum comes over, I go out and have some personal time, then I miss my daughters and want to come home hahahahhahahahhaa The life of a mum....!

1/3J hahahahaha I didn't advertise my birthday on purpose!! I didn't want to appear to have a 'mysterious' reason why I cant do 9 October hahahahahhaa
 
Haha you guys are too funny. Ava, I think it's great that you're going back to work, i will live vicariously through you! So you must keep us updated on how you are enjoying being a career woman again!

SBF, I didn't realize but i have seen one of your shows before my hubby used to be in protozoa??? lol that was a long time ago.

1/3j i agree with you, being a parent is a constant challenge!! lol i'm like SBF, i sometimes crave a break but the moment i get it i'm dying to see mm again...lol the life of a momma! See you all next week!!

Miss the next gathering

Hi Cantonese-speaking mums,

Just realized tomorrow is a public holiday. To me it means I'll need to work on Tue to make up for that. Will have to miss the gethering and the chance to see Ava before you go back to work. BTW where is your office? We can meet for lunch. Enjoy the public holiday and the fireworks.

My office is in PP1. We can meet up for lunch sometime.
I'm not 100% to start working next week as I haven't signed the contract yet. Will need to sign it this Thurs or Friday.

hi all! sorry i've been MIA lately. little man was down with a cold for quite some time and then i was busy being a tourist! :) i'm leaving this saturday. hope to make it to the playgroup on thurs to see some of you. it was great meeting all of the moms and babies in HK...let's keep in touch!

Well done 1/3J for stepping up to hosting the group today.. Lucky it is my birthday as we've just found out that my girls are likely to have picked up chickenpox from a friends baby on Saturday!!

So we cannot host the playdate for 2 weeks from Saturday (6 Oct) just to play safe. If after 2 weeks no symptom, then we can rehost again.

Worse luck is after 10 ~ 14 days, my girls will get chickenpox and then we have to wait another 10 ~ 14 days before the spots disappear. Lets hope somehow they wont get it. Or they wont have a birthday party :eek:
 
Krishy will miss chloe and ashley on thursday . Hope they dont get it and they enjoy their birthday on 2nd. Take care
 
well I managed to speak to my pedi and he said as soon as they get the symptoms (spots) then to contact him and he can give them antivirals which shorten the time they have spots for (and decrease the number of spots) so fingers crossed.

Apparently there's a vaccine that they can give at 12 months :)

Oh sorry to hear that! My best wishes to the little girls! Mum should also take good rest as it must be tough for you!
