Canossa Hospital Nursery

I have a question about Canossa for any one who's delivered there, cos I am thinking of going there. But a friend told me that the nursery is not segregated from the rest of the rooms, and when a baby is brought out , inevitably the nurse needs to pass by other wards. Also , my friend saw a nurse who had just handled a needle go on to handle a baby - it sounded scary as its possible for any germs to be passed to the baby this way.

Did anyone come across that and would this be a concern for you? its my first baby and I honestly don't know.

Canossa

I had my second child at the Canossa Hospital in September and found it good value for money. We can't afford the Matilda or Adventist and the Sanatorium is a rip off (my first baby was born there). I highly recommend the Canossa. If the nursery situation is your concern, then let me tell you that most other hospitals are the same. As for the needle thing, I can't comment but it doesn't sound like something the nurses would do.

Konradsmos,
I had my LO born in Canossa last April, I love it.
I think your friend must went there three years ago when they renovate the nusery, at thet time the nursery was on another floor. Now, the nusery is just on the same floor of all the rooms.
I also find the nurses there are very helpful and gave me sufficient care.

Thanks all for your comments. its nice to know that there is somewhere good and affordable - now the hurdle is getting a bed !! most hospitals are pretty booked through to September, and I was told even a scheduled c- sec won't help ! :thanks :thanks :thanks
