Can Someone Please Advise Me

Hi my husband and I currently live in mail land we are both foreigners and found out in January that we are going to having a baby. We both decide on a particular hospital here and did all the check up there, the entire package cost 10,000 RMB. Im now 34wks and this is my first pregnancy.

We got a quote for 20,000 RMB as at Feb for natural delivery and in the month of July I asked for a tour of the rooms I was given another quote 0f 29,000 RMB. When asked why I wasn?t informed the receptionist just replied prices are subjected to change without prior notice.

I was so mad. I began to look for other hospitals and I am being told by the hospitals that they cannot accept me as I'm too far ahead in my pregnancy. I have done some research and we are considering Hong Kong can anyone advice me?

Which hospital to use?
Am I too late to book a room private or public?
What are costs?

I?m not an holder of a Hong Kong ID
 
I am not sure, but I think it is too late for you to book at a private hospital here..... Not quite sure about public hospital... but anyway, if you deliver here in HK, it will cost you more than 29,000 RMB.
 
to deliver in hk without a hkid card it will cost about double what they will charge you in the mainland.
 
sorry to disappoint you, but i think at 34 weeks it will be nearly impossible to get a room at a hospital, even if you can find a doctor willing to deliver for you. long story short...but i was in a similar position to you but my parents were REALLY REALLY good friends with the owner of a hospital here in HK and even they could not promise me anything, at the end I got the room, but it was very last minute. also the prices are more than double what you are paying for in the mainland
 
I have come to realize that the prices will be much higher than what I will pay here in main land but nothing tried nothing done. I have called both private and public hospitals from here and I have gotten some favorable quotes. I just want to have a safe delivery. One hospital told me that I can pay upon arrival to deliver there, the price wasn't bad.
