Dear all,

We will move to HK at end of May. I'm now 22weeks pregnant.
Afraid of too late to make registration on May. I'm going to travel to HK this month for some days so as to make registration at Queen Mary hospital.

We are sure to live around Pok Fu Lam but can not settle down this time.
I can get my HK ID card when arrive HK .But can not show the hospital our resident address proof.

Can I use my friends address to make registration? She is staying at the Queen Mary area.

If not, how should I do?

Thanks!

should be ok to register once you settle here. one of my friends came to HK when she was on her 4th month and after getting her dependent ID, registered with tsan yuk clinic and she is going through the same process that i went through - i used tsan yuk clinic for prenatal checkups as soon as i found out that i was preggie.

if you really want to register before May then you can provide your friend's address (dont tell that i said it is OK! kekeke) after getting your HKID. you have to call up the tsan yuk clinic's hotline first to get an appointment to register. on the appointment date, you have to provide them with your HKID, address and a doc's confirmation note saying that you are indeed preggie.

Thank you Aava.
How long should I wait after I made appointment using the hotline?
Because I plan to stay at HK only 3 or 4 days...
Thanks!

i suggest that you call them as soon as you get your HKID coz they will need it for booking reference. you can ask them for an appointment asap but please note that that first appointment is just for registration - a doc doesn't check you till the second appointment.

i think that i called them on a tuesday and they gave me the appointment for friday.

thanks...I think I may have trouble in arranging the second appointment coz I will not stay at HK until May.

you can tell them that you will be away till the end of may and if it is possible to get the second appointment after may. they are pretty flexible under some circumstances.

don't forget to bring your medical records when you come over.

good luck!
