British Passports

Hi
I have just had my trip to Bali postponed today because my 4 year old daughter's passport expires in Nov 07. So, we now have to hope we can get it renewed tomorrow. However, she was born in the UK and I am worried that we may need my original birth certificate which I cannot get in time. I have my daughter's original birth cert here with me, but not mine. does anybody know anything about renewing a child's passport born in the UK? I am desperately hoping we can make a flight on Tuesday.....
Any help appreciated!
Thanks

They might have an emergency line/contact person you should be trying to speak to asap (like today!). I got an Australian passport renewed in a day once and the Brits are normally quite efficient so maybe they'll have a similar service. Good luck.

Hi,

Not sure about what birth certificates you will need- am pretty sure just your passport will be fine to apply for your daughters.

I went once to Bali with a grp of friends, one of whom realised six hours before our flight that her passport wasn't valid for enough months. She rushed to the British consulate, broke down in real tears and they had a passport made for her in time to catch our flight! So it can be done, they just don't advertise it becayse they don't want people leaving their applications to the last minute.

Good Luck!

We renewed D's passport recently. His was issued here and the only document they asked for was a copy of my citizenship.

Best of luck! Hope you get it in a day.
