Bringing baby formula into Hong Kong (large quantity - 50 cans)

Hi,

We will soon be relocating to Hong Kong and have a fussy baby (very refluxy) who is on a anti reflux formula which I don't believe is sold in Hong Kong.

As part of our relocation freight, we would like to include 50 cans of the anti reflux formula. Will this cause issues with Hong Kong customs?

I ask now as I don't want to spend the money now for it to be confiscated at HK customs!

Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department - Import and Export (General)(Amendment) Regulation 2013 ( with effect from 1 March 2013 ) - Quantity of Powdered Formula for Persons Departing from Hong Kong


The restriction is on export and can't find anything on imports. Perhaps you can include a letter from your Dr prescribing the formula and give a copy to your custom clearing agent.
