hi does anyone know whether there are any breastfeeding rooms anywhere in stanley i.e. murray house, plaza etc? i'm not quite comfortable with "whipping it out" in public, nor do i want to feed my baby in a toilet. cheers .

we used to go into the public library (just on the ground floor inside the building). it is NEVER busy, air conditioned and has a bench. it's not comfortable, but it is usable. it is in public, but just take a shawl or something. i've been in there numerous times (with my own kids plus with bf mums visiting from overseas) and have only ever seen a handful of people wander through. there are large windows but they are tinted, so you can't really see in too well (besides most people in this part of stanley are NOT trying to see in windows, they are too busy shopping).

At the Pacific Coffee near the market, there is a little back area with a sofa and a couple of chairs. Though it`s on the way to the toilet and quite a few people walk by, it`s still comparatively quiet and comfortable. I just used a scarf (pashmina) to cover up.

Do you have a nursing bib? You can get them in Citysuper. I saw them at the IFC location and it's great for being discreet if you need to be.

There's a Starbucks in Stanley Plaza as well. That's where I used to breastfeed if I was over that side of Stanley. It's a bit more open though, but still doable...

thanks ladies! someone else suggested the changing/ locker rooms inside the sports centre aswell. have a nice day.
