Breastfeed infant and bowel movement

Hi all,
it's been 6 days now and my 3mo old LO still hasn't pooped. We just moved from Canada 14 days ago. I breastfeed her exclusively. Could it be the change in the water I drink?
Should I worry? Or wait a couple more days?

wait a couple more days. if she is exclusively breastfed, she could go 6 times/day or once every 10 days... and anything in between. still all normal.

however, if you are concerned, you can take her to the dr.

oh, and welcome to hk. (from a fellow canadian).

Nancy Mohrbacher has just made a new post on her blog called Diaper Output & Milk Intake in the Early Weeks at http://www.nancymohrbacher.com/blog/2012/9/21/diaper-output-milk-intake-in-the-early-weeks.html

She concludes the post with this paragraph
"Also, diaper output patterns change over time. Four stools per day are average during the early weeks, but after 6 weeks of age stooling frequency often decreases, sometimes dramatically. Some breastfed babies older than 6 weeks may go as a long as a week between stools, which is not a cause for concern from a breastfeeding perspective as long as the baby is gaining weight well."
