Breast Pump

Am expecting twins, so there will be a hefty amount of pumping going on! Does anyone have any recomendations for heavy-duty electric (double) pumps? And where to buy them.

For my first I used the Medela mini electric, which worked fine, but this time I think I'm going to need extra ooomph!

I know that Annerley rents them, but at 790HKD a month, it may be cheaper to buy my own!

Or if anyone knows of someone who's selling theirs.....

Thanks

I bought the Ameda Lactaline (same as Ameda Purely Yours sold elsewhere) from Homecare Medical. I think it was $1300ish from memory. It's very good. Probably one notch below hospital grade, but very portable and easy to clean - not many parts come into contact with breasts/milk.

Another vote here for the Ameda Purely Yours/Lactaline.

Our son was prem, so I pumped for quite a while for him. At first I was hiring the big green Ameda (hospital grade pump) but then I discovered the Lactaline and it made economic sense! It has the same vacuum range, ability to adjust frequency and double pump ability as the hospital model, just designed for personal use.

Extra bonus is that the hygienikits are common between the two Ameda models, so the double attachments I had already bought to use with the hospital hire pump could be used with my own new home pump.
