boppy, my breast friend, nursing pillow??? HELP!

which would you recommend (I've been trying to read all the reviews online) and where can you buy them in hong kong (costs? delivery?)?

just had my baby and can't get comfortable at all, my back is killing me but i really want to stick this out so need to find something suitable asap!

any advice/recommendations much much appreciated!!!

ps. does anyone have a my breast friend inflatable pillow and what do you think about it? it seems good to save space later and good for travelling too?
 
Only ever used My BrestFriend and loved it! I initially just used a pillow, but got My BrestFriend upon SIL's recommendation and it had made all the difference.

I've seen My BrestFriend at B2B. I can't remember how much I got mine for, though.
 
we love bobby and i bought two so i didn't have to lug it around as i nursed in a couple of rooms. sounds like you cannot go wrong with either one!
 
I would NOT recommend one that forms to your body, like it has little foam beads in it or something. I have a Minimoto one, and though it was a great pregnancy pillow as it stretches out, it`s less comfortable for a BFing pillow.
 
I LOVE the ones that form to your body with the little foam beads. I liked to shape it so that my baby fed angled a bit upright, as he had reflux.
I used the Theraline by Grobag, bought from B2B.
So much more versatile, and last until the baby is much bigger.
They also make great support cushions when the baby starts to sit up.
A friend also made a little play-station with hers by sitting her baby in a bumbo and wrapping the pillow around in a circle and placing different toys on it.
 
Like Matty, we used our Bobby pillows after I finished nursing our son as well. It was both a feeding pillow and provided support for his back. He would hold his own bottle lying down in the middle of it it as it provided the best angle and then when he needed more support sitting up, we wrapped it around him which was perfect.
 
i swear by My Brest Friend (only sold at Bumps to Babes). I find that for the Boppy, the baby always slip in between me & the Boppy. But for My brest friend, baby lies comfortably on it. Would not have survived nursing my first child without it. I think you can go to bumps to babes & ask to try them out.
 
but for trying, if you're pregnant now, you can't really try on the brest friend cos your tummy will be in the way, but you can have an idea.
 
I used My Brest Friend pillow for my 1st baby and it worked very well. Good support for the lower back while you BF. My hubby wore it when he helped bottlefeed baby when he was small too. I remember it costs around HKD200-300 in B2B.

I am pregnant with #2 and I bought a Theraline by Grobag so I can sleep more comfortably. It's both a maternity and nursing pillow. Echo with what Matty said it's more versatile as you can basically use it as a support cushion for older baby learning to sit up. It serves well as a really comfortable cushion if you read in bed too. It's more expensive than the Brest Friend, like HKD699 or so. But if you invest one it won't be a waste coz you can use it even after nursing stage.

where can i take a look at a boppy? i think they sell my breast friend in B2B and in Eugene too according to my friends.

i just had my baby, so i guess i can try it, but currently still confined to the house! can't wait till i can get out and about! am thinking of purchasing a sling and having it delivered asap in the meantime (prior to purchasing the nursing pillow) so I can try breastfeeding with him in the sling!
 
I'm using a Boppy this time round (third child) and it's been the best so far. I find if you put a pillow underneath it (next to your leg) on the side you are nursing it is perfect.
 
i called eugene beforehand to make sure they had the 'my breast friend' but when my friend went to buy it for me they told her they don't have it in stock!!!

out of emergency for saving my arms/back, she got me this instead, 'Nurse EZ Plus-Comfort Collection' (photo here: BirthandBaby - Nurse EZ Plus-Comfort Collection). I've only just got it and used it once but it seems to do wonders for my arms! it costs more than my breast friend though, almost 500$!
 
I have tried both bobby and mybrestfriend, the latter is much better to me. It gives better support and hold better. My baby girl is nor 9.5 month's old and I still use it. Worth every $$$!
 
Where can I buy mybrestfriend nursing pillows? I used it for my first baby and it was 10000x better than the boppy because it actually stayed put (velcro) to your body whereas the boppy was constantly shifting. The brest friend is also better because the surface is flat and it positions anywhere up or down on your body making feedings easier. I tried Bumps to babes but they do not carry it. Where can I buy it.
