Boarding house cost

Does anyone know how much the helpers pay at the boarding houses? Thanks

It is about $350 a week I think. My first helper lived in a boarding house for two weeks before she started with us and I paid her $750 for two weeks to reimburse her. A couple of years ago now but prices shouldn't have changed that much.

It depends on what kind of living arrangement I think for a private room it is closer to $2000/mth and additional charges if air conditioning is required. It will cost less for just a bed space in shared quarters.

It depends on the location and set up arrangement as mentioned by Mrs in the above post. You would find it hard to get anything under $1400 shared that is acceptable accomodation. I've looked and been really horrified.

Most individual rooms are upwards of $2000 which would be a private room but shared kitchen/bathroom space. I've noticed decent places are now around the $2500 range. Very few have living spaces from what I've seen and if they do, they are tiny and not useable space.

Another consideration, is that you will need to pay for travel expenses to and from.

Can anyone recommend some boarding houses in Tseung Kwan O, Tai Po or anywhere else near Clearwater bay?

My helper shares a studio apartment with another helper in Kowloon. She gets an additional $3,000 for rent, utilities and food - and is fine with that.
