Blood spots around eyes

I've recently noticed that when my daughter cries really hard, she gets these blood spots around her eyelids and eyebag area. I took her to see a dr and she said it's common in children and gave it a term beginning with 'p', I think! Looked on websites for more details and can't find a thing.

Has anyone else experienced this with their toddler/baby? She was just fed some medicine and freaked out - subsequently she's got lots of little blood spots around her eyes. It's quite scary to see this.

the word I believe is peticia Ithink I spelled it wrong.. They are just tiny small broken blood vessels. My son has had that a couple of times when he was crying really really hard. It is nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the advice, Capital. Took baby in anyway for a check up on her fever and cough, and as you said, it's common with babies who vomit, cough or cry too hard. Thank goodness!!
