hi mommies-
i'm curious to know at what age/month did you start bringing your little ones to baby gyms? my little one is almost 4 mos but can't sit up yet, so i'm thinking we'll wait until then; or until she is crawling... but what were your experiences?

Also-- any recommendations for gyms on the kl side?

thanks! :)

Second recommendation for Panda Junction!

Our children started at 3 to 4 months there, and continued til well over 2 years of age. Their under 6 month group incorporates a large amount of baby massage, wonderful!

In general, a good early childhood active development programme will have small age group classes that are tailored to baby's current stage of development (i.e. 3-6 months, 6 months - walking, walking to 18 months etc), so no need to be sitting or crawling first.

We started at around 4 months at Panda Junction, but I think 6 months is a better age. I didn't feel my son got much out of it in the first couple of months.

i started my son at panda junction at 4 months. He loved it. He couldn't crawl but he loved seeing all of the other children. He still goes and still loves it.

just curious- where's panda junction?

Also- for gymboree, i actually just got a flyer in the mail, since there's a new one open at TST... perhaps i'll go check it out.

thanks everyone!

i sent my daughter to My Little Gym in TST when she was 3.5 yrs old, after i noticed she likes to climb and jump around in the house - putting her in a gym was the safest place for her to explore her body abilities

she goes there weekly and loves it there - she now can balance herself on the beam, does forward/ backward rolls, hops on one leg and all kinda movements.

My Little Gym will open a new branch in Causeway Bay in June...

Panda Junction is HK side in Wyndham Street, we go there - not really sure that The Boy got much out of his first few sessions when he was less mobile but I think it was nice for both of us to get out of the house and see other mums and babies. He's seven months now and I think he's starting to really enjoy it more now he is a bit more mobile.
