Bamboo Grove 2009 rental prices

Hi

Just wondering if there are any geo mums who currently live in the bamboo grove complex? My husband has been transferred to HK and we plan to move in June 2009. We flew over for a couple of days and checked out a few apartments and found that the bamboo grove suited our family as it was close to his work and close to the supermarket and had good clubhouse facilities.

What I would like to know is, if they don't mind me asking is what people are paying monthly for a 3 bedroom two bathroom unit. I have heard that rental prices have gone down and we want to know the fair rental price before we put in an offer. When we were there the agent told us it was above 50K HKD a month. Is this true?

A quick look on property websites shows the asking price for 3 bedrooms at Bamboo Grove to be around 60K and above.
I mean these are asking price, you will probably get it down abit, but it's a popular development, so you can always try.
 
Yes it's true that's why all the agents listed similarish prices. I doubt u can get a 3 bedroom for 50k mark though.
 
Don't bother going through an agent as you will have to pay agency fees. As Rani says BG is owned by 1 developer - Hysan. They have a property rental section and if you go through them directly you don't pay any additional agency fees. If you are willing to go for a lower floor you can get the smaller 3 bedroom flat for the $50K mark. Good luck.

Thanks for you all for the advice. We have no choice but to go through with an "authorised" agent. It is part of my husbands contract otherwise we can't claim for the rental reimbursement.
