Baguio Villa, Block 47, exterior renovation

We were really excited to find a good rental unit here, but during the process of negotiation, the agent informed us that the whole building (lobby & exterior wall) would be under renovation starting from end of June or July, lasting about 10 months. Obviously, we weren't thrilled about that news, and think that it would not make for very good living conditions for the little ones.

Just wondering if anyone has been through this, and if you could share how bad it was, or maybe it wasn't so bad?

Thanks!

I remember when they renovated the Gov't blocks just above yours. The dust and noise was unbearable. Lots of people moved out. They also ran into some $$ issues and the renovations were delayed for a bit.

Same... you'll be living in dust and noise for months and months (and probably more than planned) and no light because of the scaffoldings (plus you might see your rental fees increase after a year because it has been renovated !).

The work has started and I've heard they've removed the aircons of some units while they repair the exterior of the building. Can you imagine not have an a/c in this heat???
