Baby wouldn't take his milk

Very worried :(

My 3-month old just changed his formula from Friso to Nestle Nan H.A per Pd's advise as the 'heat' in Friso seem to be causing skin alergies. He seemed to like the new taste (at least the first 3 days) as he finished 5 to 6 ounces each meal. Since yesterday, he started to refuse taking it after first 2.5 ounces...

I was told that some babies don't like Nan H.A. Would babies really starve themselves if they don't like the taste?

Suspect he might be teething too. Do babies refuse to take milk when they teeth?

ELT,

How's your baby doing? Yes some babies may refuse milk when teething.
Hope your little guy is better

Hi Rani

Thanks for asking. He's 4 months now. Some weeks he'll take 20 ounces and some weeks 30. I'd say he takes 24 ounces on average. He's 16 pounds now so the amount is at the low side but he did gain 1 pound since a month ago and he's playful and happy so I guess he just have a small apetite.

baby now 5 1/2 months. Still drinking only 20 - 24 ounces a day, and even less this week. Today saw 2 white spots on his gums, think it's teeth! yay! No wonder he has been so fussy the last 2 nights.

My 7-month old daughter is also teething. She has been refusing her milk (formula) from several days now. She eats some solids but I am worried she is not getting the nutrients she needs.

How can you make sure they eat properly while they teeth?

ELT, is the little one ok? Does he keep gaining weight?

Sorry, too many questions. I guess I'm a little desperate (first time mom)...

Hi Karla

Sean is now 6 months, 70cm, 8kg. 2 teeth cut through just last week. He's still drinking less than most babies his weight but much more stable than before (now around 24 ounces a day). His weight percentile did drop but overall he's happy and playful so I guess that's ok.

Not sure if this work work for your girl too - when Sean was teething, he also refused milk (usually after first 2 ounces), later we discovered that he would take it when it's cool so we would make the milk luke warm on purpose. Also, he tend to drink more when he's sleeping.
