Hi, we're moving to HK in April and wondered if anyone knew of places that had baby swim classes? Happy to go where ever if the lessons are good!

NT swim lessons?

Hi

Does anyone have any recommendations for swimming lessons in the CWB/Sai Kung area? Thanks :))

HI vegemite_kid,can i hv more info on whereabouts in DB for those baby/toddlers/children swimming lessons?

we livign in tung chung so still not a far distance to DB compared to central etc :P

Not sure of the age, but ESF do great lessons for 18months+. Much cheaper than Harry Wright...

Ymca -

we've been to YMCA TST swimming lessons for 2 semesters since my little one is 7mths old. we are going to start the 3rd semester next wk on thursday mrng. any classmates here?

Weishy, I heard that the development by the Cable car at Tung chung is going to be a rec centre with a pool! So you wont have to go to DB. Im not sure when its going to open though but you can see that they have started development!

how old is your baby now? if they are over 3, you can check out Stanford. they are local instructors and dont expect them speak very good English. but rate is very reasonable (compare to Harry W or Esf).

i use a woman who used to be a lifeguard at the sai kung pool. she's great! she speaks a little english and she uses games and toys to motivate young learners. i told her i didn't care about the "strokes" etc, i just wanted my boy to be less terrified of putting his head under... by the end of last summer, he was swimming to the bottom of the deep pool to retrieve toys! (he was 4.5 yrs).

my daughter has started with her this year and my son will continue.

Actual swim classes, would have to say at 3yrs. There's also Mummy/Baby classes from 18mths, which is to overcome fear etc. But if you have access to a pool, would just take your little one to the pool regularly, with a bunch of bath toys and watering can.
