Capella vs Graco EDT vs Combi

I read all reviews on baby strollers in this forum and came to conclusion above.

Please let me know where to view/ test or buy these?
It seems Baby R Us no longer stock Graco. And Wing On's only has one model of Capella and it does not seem to be the lightweight one mentioned.

Or should I consider Combi instead..?

Anyone with information for any of the three brands/models please give me your advice/comments.

My budget:
up to HKD2K

Must Have features:
Lightweight < 5kg
Fully reclinable( up to 170 is ok)
Open/Close with one hand
Ease to use with frequent MTR travel

Baby is a girl so ideally stroller with a feminie colour is preferred...thanks!

Eugene Club has a few Graco models and Capella. Wing On and Toys R Us are best for Combi.

I considered all 3 and Combi came out best for me. I think they are better made and have more features.

Rach, my extensive research came to the same result as you. I checked out the three and then last minuted ended up deciding on buying the Aprica because I like the fabric better than the Combi. That was the only reason! If the fabric had of been the same, I would have bought the combi.

the funny end to my story, i ended up buying an Aprica second hand which is an older version that the current one in Wing On and guess what? It is in the same material as the Combi. Too funny huh.

So love, my advice, go the Combi. I believe Sarah has also decided on the Combi after her research.

I have already trashed my Aprica a bit so will most likely end up with the Combi down the track. Great for newborn, light weight and one hand fold.

See you soon. trace

Yes I vote for Combi as well.

Combi and Capella both have the reversible handle so baby can face you or face away, and a full sun canopy, which the Graco model does not have.
The Combi seems to be better quality than the Capella and it folds easier, so it won out for me.

I liked the Capella one best. I was just in Wing-on in Sheung Wan today and they had ummm 3 or 4 different Capellas, and a few Combis and Apricas too. AND they are having a sale at the moment so it's a good time to go and buy! I put a Capella on hold, I'm gonna go pick it up tomorrow!! Their prices are better than the Eugene VIP prices, and the staff were really helpful too.

hi i'm using graco and found that combi is better in terms of easy manouvering and lightweight for hkg usage.Unless in europe etc...where u hv a car,it'll be easy to hv such stroller here.Best is to cHoose one that can be use from newborn till 3 to 4 yrs of age.

Hi All helpful Moms,
Thanks much for the input. I went to WingOn, Eugene and Baby R Us and have decided on Combi.

Upon testing the models( Combi vs Graco), I agree the fabric of Combi is better plus there is a meshed net on suncover where we can still see baby whereas Graco does not have that.
Regarding opening and closing function, Combi seems to be a bit easier as well.

The only downside of Combi is only lack of choice of colour (only blue or yellow) and the more expensive price
2K+ vs Graco 1K+

If budget is not an issue I will recommend Combi. We will buy ours this week at WingOn! :-)

Btw any recommendation for foldeable baby beds ( prefer white)? I saw one at WingOn for 1.5K+ but heard that some shops sell for less than 1K...thanks!

Combi strollers!!

Before you buy at Wing On, have a look at this website
www.buy4baby.com.hk/eng
They seem to have the full Combi range (more colours too) and apparently cheaper than Wing On. You need to sign in to access prices.

Toys r Us also stock Combi if you are looking for a few more colour choices.

Jusco also carries a full range of Combi strollers - and if you join their VIP program (I think you just pay $50, with immediate effect), you can get a 10% discount off the stroller. (VIP card gives 5% off all baby itemsfor the year, and you get an extra 5% off on the first day of joining.)

sorry, am a bit late on this thread but am checking out all past threads on lightweight strollers.....i just went thru this link given for combi and was mighty confused on the diff. models....any recommendations which would be a good model? i am looking for lightweight, one-hand fold, full recline

just checked out all combi models in details and noted their prices too....will go checking in TRU and Wing On now//// between the 2 which one offers a better range and price?

My favourite that I plan to buy is the Combi Well-Comfort. It's 4.2kgs max and has all the features you'd want, and all the above mentioned. It comes in Blue and orange.
The buy4baby.com website listed it as $2261hkd but here in Shenzhen it's about 3000rmb. I'm curious if it's the same at BabiesRUs, but if not then I will definitely order from there.

Hi All, just one more question to this tread.

I am curious how come no one has talked about getting a travel system with their stroller. I mean stroller that comes with a car seat. If one doesn't drive, You would need a car seat to have your baby in a taxi.

We drive quite a bit. so we would like to get a car seat that can click on the stroller.

I saw this Combi system online. I http://www.groovystyle.co.uk/productpages/combi/urbanmatik-travel-system.html I am wondering if I can get them in Hongkong in places that some of you mention in this forum--Wingon, Jusco, BabiesRUs.

I did not travel system see it on www.buy4baby.com.hk/eng website.

Thank you.

Wow, do people actually use a car seat when they take a taxi? I`ve never seen that. I think I would have a panic attack, hurrying to get it all done and get in the taxi in due time. And that would be WHILE baby is sleeping:)

i have never seen a combi in HK with a travel system and i have seen all possible combi shops....the max range for combi is in bebe (something)store in harbour terminal, TST....u can call them and find out....i have never used the car seat in a cab.

Hi Shenzhennifer, I have no idea about taxi and car seat. I understand your point. I actually like the stroller you recommended here if comes with a travel system would be prefect for us.

---Mushi, Thank you for the note. I will check. If not, we would have to get a car seat separately from stroller then.

By the way, I reviewed a lot of tread in this forum and I made two calls to the Combi agents. They said that the manufacturer has discontinue the travel system line. So, they said I can't even place my order for stroller travel system.

This is odd. I google Combi and in their US website, combi travel system is available. Like I have to order it from the US? One person said in the forum of going to Japan to get it. :)

We live in the Mainland and we drive a lot. I am still looking at the light weight feature it has but plus a car seat.

Does any one know which other brand has travel system? Thank you.
