Baby party clown /entertainer; any suggestions?

Hi. We'll be having a birthday party at our home & wish to hire a clown/entertainer for 1 year olds. We realize this age group may be too young for a clown, so anybody have any tips/contacts? Much thanks in advance.
 
expose you child to pictures of clowns...drawings, photos etc if this is the direction you would like to head. From past experience children are scared of clowns so imagine a 1 year old screaming and terrified...Other ideas:
you could just get a face painter to come and paint children's faces, a person who makes shaped balloons etc.
 
honestly though, a birthday party for 1 year olds is more for the parents than the kids... .just have kids around to play... they'll love it! and you'll save yourself thousands of dollars.

if you want to, buy face paint yourself and do it, but keep in mind, 1 year olds can't sit still long enough for you to do a decent job of it.

i just tried to apply tattoos today to a group of 1 year olds and EVERY single one cried.
