Baby Monitor advise

I know this has been discussed many times, but I just wanted to get some recent feedback.

I need to get a baby monitor and its seems that the angelcare sound monitor model #AC420 was highly recommended.

Is this the best one to get? if so, are you happy with it?

Thanks for your feedback.

I think the best way to buy a baby monitor is to try it out in your flat. I think some of the thick concrete walls can be a problem for montiors, especially in a large flat.

Bumps to Babes will let you exchange it if the monitor doesn't work in your flat. I tried one with a video monitor that didn't work in my flat and also a Tomy unit which kept disconnecting a few times a night. I ended up with an Angelcare monitor.

Angelcare Movement Monitor

My angelcare monitor works great, but it was purchased in the States from Amazon. All I had to do was get the converters.

I also use Angelcare. It's been very good. It works in my apartment as well as in my mother's 3 floor house with baby sleeps on the top floor and we are on the ground floor.

Mine comes with a breathing pad which would be able to track baby's breathing. But we have not used it because we are still co-sleeping in nights. It would come in handy when we sleep train him.

I got my Anglecare in Eugene club. It costs around 1600 HongKong.

Piper - yes got mine at B2B. Bought the one that detects both sound and movement (think it's impt to be able to track the breathing). I have a B2B card that can get you 7% discount if you decide to get yours there :)
