Baby drinking at night

Has anyone got any ideas how to get more milk drunk in the day and less/ none at night?

My 8 (nearly 9) month old has recently switched to hypoallergenic formula which tastes rotten and as a result she really won't drink it unless she's starving hungry. So in the day she has a few small feeds and at night she takes two bigger feeds.

Does anyone have any experience of this? She used to feed well during the day when she had better tasting milk but since switching she has fallen into this new pattern of feeding.

The doc has told me she should be consuming more solids so I cannot reduce her intake of solids in the day to make her more hungry. I'm thinking maybe colder formula and a sippy cup rather than a bottle might make the night feeding less desirable - what do you think?

Have you tried giving just water or a really watered down formula? I did this with mine who kept waking and in the end it worked as she realised there was no point waking for milk as she only got water and at first because it was water I was giving here it made her hungrier in the day so she would drink more.
