Baby Clubs in Hong Kong?

Hi Everyone,

A friend was suggesting that I find out from the clinic I go to if they have memberships for pamper club, milk club, etc.

He joined pamper club and got some very good discounts for his next purchases. Also I understand that he gets some discount in the big baby shops.

I am in my 7th month and I need to plan this out.
So any tips from you will be highly appreciated.

PS. I just checked with my doc ....she says they don't encourage this.

Baby Club

Hello,

I don't see any need to join those clubs cos I do not find it offering big discounts as expected.

My past experiences told me that you can enjoy better discount with milk powder and diapers if you buy it from drug stores instead of from Mannings or Watson's. To avoid they are problematic milk powder, I always end up buying from Mannings. For diapers, I went to a drug store which is close to my place.

I used Pampers since my first daughter born. I have switched to Nepia (Japanese brand) for panty for my secone one a few months ago. And I found it real good. Not as tight as that of Huggies & Pampers. You can always have discount whenever Jusco / UNY are on sale.

I do not see any need to apply for those cards.

Thanks Rani and Fafa !

This will be very useful information.
Will surely check these options and be prepared.

Shipps,

I have a Pampers card and used it quite a few times at Eugene and another store. Used to get an extra 5-10 % off baby bottles, teethers etc. Never used the Pampers coupons as they were all in Chinese.

P&G Horror!

For those of you using Proctor and Gamble "PAMPERS" diapers, "NAPISAN" or "MILTON" sterilising solution, please look at this site and see what they've been up to!

Do you really want to support them by buying their stuff?

I joined several baby clubs (Pampers, Nestle, Huggies, Gerber, etc.) when I was pregnant and thinks it's worthwhile to spend the minute it takes to enroll. A few called me after I delivered to see how I and the baby are. Though I breastfeed, the caller from formula companies still sound truly caring (perhaps it's my hormones acting!). Some sent me sample formula, diaper, baby food to try out or discount coupon in baby shops. Although their so called promotional offers are not cheaper than drug store, at least you get to try whether it suits your baby before buying a whole pack.
