Baby car seats and baby suitable cars?

I will be needing a car when I get to HK as I have a baby and don't know how else I'll get about.

Where can I get a car from - new or used?
Can anyone recommend a medium sized hatchback? I have VW golf in the Uk - would consider something a little bigger.
Is there such a thing as a taxi with a car seat fitted for a baby?
