Baby car seat for air travel?

Hello there,

I'm struggling to find a suitable baby car seat for air travel. I have asked Virgin Atlantic for a recommendation but all they say that is that the seat must be certified for airplanes, have a 5 point harness and doesn't exceed 43cm x 43cm (17ins x 17ins).

I'm having a hard time finding one that ticks all of the above, anyone flown with Virgin before with a baby car seat? My baby will be 14 months old by the time we fly in June.

Can anyone can recommend me a baby car seat for air travel? Thank you!!!

The carseats that are approved for air travel usually have a FAA or equivalent sticker. Britax have a slim model and remember a few mums used to travel with a Sit and Stroll. Have you been to the shops to have a look?

Hi Rani, I've been to a few shops and they have nothing suitable. Do you by any chance know what the slim model Britax is called? I live in Hong Kong so it might not be available but I will keep searching. Many thanks!

Other models members have used on planes:

Britax Eclipse
Cosco Scenera next

Haven't checked the dimensions, sorry.
