Baby Books on Discipline and Behaviour

I have a 12 month old daughter who is beginning to develop a wonderful and individual personality, but I would like to do some reading on how to ensure she is disciplined correctly and we show her the right way to do things. Although I don't expect her to understand too much at this age, I would like to gather an understanding of when they beginning learning instructions (such as 'no' when she does something she shouldn't) and how is best to do so.
Can anyone recommend any good reading they have done in this area! Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Highly recommend "The Complete Secrets of Happy Children" by Steve Biddulph. Very easy reading with humour & lots of day-to-day examples. Another good one is "New Toddler Taming" by Dr. Christopher Greene, more general but still good if you want to read more than 1 book.

Thanks so much for your recommendations, greatly appreciate and will check these out. joannek - do you know the author of 'you are your childs first teacher'?
I know my daughter is only 12 months, and at this stage doesn't appear to have any discipline problems and is probably a bit too young to understand, but do want to make sure that we are implimenting the right techniques and not discouraging any development. Thanks again!

I've read 'Love and Logic' by Jim Fay. I used it when I was teaching. If it worked for 30 individual kids, I believe it'll work for my son.

remember that you are indeed the best way for your child to learn good habits. if you show good habits and are a good example, then then he/she will be too!
