Baby biting lower lip...ALL THE TIME!!

My one year old started to constantly bite his lower lip and suck it in a little - so his top front teeth are showing - all the time a few days ago. I'm afraid that if he continues to do it all the time, he will get buck teeth! Any idea how to get him to stop? Thanks!
 
Does he have an overbite? Or, put another way, how much of a gap between the top and bottom teeth when his teeth are closed?
 
perhaps he is just exploring his lower lip...i'd see how long it lasts...my daughter decided to stick her tongue all of a sudden....but we didn't say anything and she stopped doing it after a week - appears she was exploring that "new" body part....
 
A neighbour of ours does the same thing and has been doing it for half a year now. His mum says he does it when he's nervous or is unsure about something. The mum has tried putting a horrible tasting ointment on the lower lip but it hasn't stopped him. I suppose it's something he'll have to grow out. Hope it's just a short phase for your LO.
